Thank you for your interest in a NYSAVT leadership position. Our organization is powered our volunteers.

For any nomination, a Letter of Intent/Position Statement must be either entered or uploaded. Please tell the membership and leadership why you would like to act as a servant leader and what your goals for your term are. Please also attach a resume or copy/paste directly into the form.





Please note the requirements and duties for each position on the board:

District Representative-Appointed by the NYSAVT Executive Committee

Duties

Shall plan and execute a minimum of one CE event and one social event for area members during each term.

Shall work with local veterinary technology programs to promote participation in NYSAVT.

Shall encourage and grow new membership.

Shall be responsible for submitting to the Board a written report of their district activities quarterly.

Requirements

Shall provide evidence of membership in the association for a minimum of the 2 year period prior to seeking appointment.

Professional demeanor and ability to articulate the NYSAVT mission to members, supporters and other shareholders.

President, Secretary & Treasurer-Elected by the NYSAVT Membership

Duties

Shall uphold the NYSAVT mission and actively participate in the management and operation of the organization.

Shall work with local veterinary technology programs to promote participation in NYSAVT.

Shall encourage and grow new membership.

Shall actively participate in the planning and execution of NYSAVT sponsored activities, including Spring Seminar.

Requirements
Any member in good standing who has been an active member of NYSAVT for a minimum of 5 years OR who has served a minimum of 2 years as a District Representative may be nominated to serve as Secretary or Treasurer

The nominees for Vice President, President-Elect and President must have served at least one term on the Executive Committee in the term preceding election to the office and have been a member of NYSAVT for a minimum of 5 years.
